An individual lease is a per-bed lease. You sign a lease for a bed space in the apartment and share common areas with roommates. This means you are only responsible for your own installments. This allows you to live with roommates without having to worry about whether they’re going to pay on time.
All leases are 12-month installments, beginning in August and ending in July. Please contact our leasing office for more information.
All leases are 12-month installments beginning on move-in day and ending in July. If you need to get out of your lease early, you can relet your bedroom space by finding somebody to take over the remainder of your lease. The relet fee is a flat rate charge of $500. Please contact one of our leasing agents to discuss in detail.
Yes, you can switch floor plans as long as we have the space available. Your rate is subject to change depending on the floor plan you choose. You will be required to sign a new lease to secure the new floor plan. If you decide to switch floor plans before the lease term begins you will not be charged a transfer fee, however; if you decide to transfer floor plans during your lease term you will be charged a transfer fee of $300.
You will be automatically enrolled in our renter’s insurance program. The first option is property liability coverage for $14 per month. If you prefer, you can opt out by providing proof of third-party renter’s insurance with at least $100,000 in liability coverage.
No, we do not offer double occupancy on our floor plans.
Your contract is based on a total amount that is divided into 12 equal installments for convenience. Your first installment will be due August 1st and the last on July 1st<s/up> unless you choose to renew and stay for another year. Please note that rent for August is not prorated.
Your installment is due on the 1st of each month as outlined in the lease. Late fees begin to apply if the payment is not received by the 2nd of the month.
You can pay this through your resident portal using a debit/credit card or e-check. Alternatively, you can also bring in or mail a physical check or money order to the leasing office.

We offer our residents up to 1 Gigabit speeds per user. Residents will have a home-like experience with Personal Area Network (PAN), allowing Wi-Fi-connected devices to interact with. We partner with Synergy for our high-speed internet.
Tours are held in our leasing office on-site located 1988 N High St, Columbus, Ohio 43201 during our office hours. You’ll be greeted by one of our leasing agents, who will guide you through the office, take you on a tour, and answer any questions you may have!

After your application is approved, you will automatically be emailed a link to sign your lease. Once our management team countersigns your lease, you will be notified via email and receive a digital copy of your completed lease through your resident portal.

The application fee is due when your application is submitted. All other fees are not due within 30 days of signing your lease.
A guarantor is a co-signer for your lease agreement who takes financial responsibility if you are unable to pay rent or other charges. Most students do not have an income, so having a guarantor allows us to qualify you for a lease based on your guarantor’s income.
You will list the name and email of your guarantor during the application process, and your guarantor will receive an email to fill out their portion of the application.
In order for a guarantor to qualify, they must meet the following qualifications:
A guarantor is required unless you qualify on your own based on credit and income criteria. Additionally, Guarantors must complete a guarantor agreement and meet specific financial requirements.
You are not required to have a guarantor. If you choose to self-qualify, you will need to pay a security deposit equivalent to two month’s rent. This option provides flexibility for those who prefer not to involve a guarantor.
For applicants who do not have a credit history in the US and/or a guarantor, our team recommends proceeding with our security deposit option which is equal to one month’s rent upfront.

Yes, you can still live here if you’re under 18! You’ll need a parent or guarantor who is over 18 to complete the application and leasing process with you. We have a special Under 18 Lease Agreement designed for residents who are not yet 18. This agreement ensures that all legal requirements are met for your lease.

Yes, we do offer roommate matching! As part of the application process, there’s a roommate section where we ask a series of questions about your major, hobbies, and lifestyle preferences. We encourage applicants to fill these out honestly so we can pair you with roommates who share similar interests and habits.

To guarantee a parking spot, you must sign a parking addendum, which is added to your lease agreement. Parking IS NOT guaranteed without this addendum.

Controlled Access
We provide residents key fob access to exterior doors and amenity doors. Our Butterfly MX system also controls building access, making it difficult for non-residents to enter the property without authorization.
After-hours Courtesy Officers
We offer on-site security from 8 pm to 5 am on rotating days of the week for security.
Yes, we have a dedicated maintenance team working five days a week with on-call staff available on weekends. We also provide after-hours emergency maintenance for urgent issues. You can request maintenance through your resident portal under the maintenance tab.
Utilities are managed through a third-party service, Entrata. Your monthly utility bill will be posted on your resident portal for payment.
At Blume, utilities are projected to range from around $25 to $65 per person, per month on average. This will vary depending on floor plan type, usage, and other factors. This range is an estimate – costs may fall outside of this range.

The level of your apartment depends on your floor plan type and apartment number. Please speak to a leasing agent to discuss the various levels within the building.
Each level of the building offers a variety of floor plans. If you and your friends want to lease units on the same floor, our leasing team will do their best to accommodate your request. Let us know during the leasing process so we can best assist!
Blume residents will need to download the Synergy Fiber app on their mobile devices. They will then receive an email with their login information upon move-in. If residents have trouble accessing their digital key fobs, they should call the leasing office for additional assistance.
